Does Axiom Trade require KYC?
Short answer
Axiom Trade documents no identity verification at any step. Signup is by email code, Google or a Phantom wallet, crypto deposits go straight to your wallet, and the homepage FAQ says the Coinbase on-ramp needs no KYC up to $500 a week. Anything above that is undocumented. No KYC is not anonymity: on-chain activity is public, and crypto trading is taxable in most countries.
Does Axiom Trade require KYC? Based on everything Axiom publishes, no: the signup docs, the live signup window and the deposit docs describe no identity verification at any step. The one place the term appears is the homepage FAQ, which says you can buy SOL through Axiom's Coinbase partner with no KYC up to $500 a week. What happens above that limit, and how Axiom's Hyperliquid perpetuals handle regional rules, is not documented.
This page lays out what each step actually asks for, why a non-custodial terminal usually works this way, what no KYC does not protect you from, and the Axiom Trade taxes question. It is not legal or tax advice.
Does Axiom Trade require KYC to sign up?
No identity check is documented for signup. The signup page in Axiom's docs lists three ways in: an email address with a one-time code, a Google account, or a Phantom wallet. It then shows the seed phrase for the wallet it creates and asks you to back it up. There is no step for a passport, a selfie or a proof of address, and the live signup window we checked on September 17, 2026 showed only those three options.
That matches how the product is built. Axiom creates a wallet for you through its provider Turnkey and never holds your tokens, so it has no customer balance to tie to a verified identity. Our Axiom Trade sign in guide covers the methods and the phishing checks that matter more than any ID step. One gap: the changelog mentions "Additional Auth Methods" added in July 2025 without describing them, so we cannot say what, if anything, sits behind the first screen.
Is there a minimum deposit, and does funding need KYC?
No minimum deposit is documented, and a crypto deposit asks for nothing but your wallet address. You send SOL or another supported asset from an exchange or wallet to the address Axiom shows you, and it arrives like any on-chain transfer. The Axiom Trade deposit SOL guide walks through it, and the Axiom fees per trade page explains why there is no published minimum trade size either.
The fiat route is different. Axiom's homepage FAQ and its buy-crypto doc say you can buy SOL through its partner Coinbase with no KYC up to $500 per week. Two things follow. First, that limit belongs to the Coinbase on-ramp as Axiom describes it, not to a check Axiom runs itself. Second, Axiom publishes nothing about what happens if you want more than $500 a week through that route, so treat everything above the limit as undocumented rather than as "no KYC, unlimited".
Do Axiom perpetuals require KYC?
Axiom's own perpetuals docs mention no KYC and no region check. The deposit page describes swapping Solana USDC into Hyperliquid USDC, and the withdraw page describes the reverse, with no identity step on either side.
Hyperliquid, the exchange that actually runs the perpetual markets, is where this gets less clear. Hyperliquid's onboarding docs also mention no KYC. Third-party summaries of its terms, however, say it geofences by IP address and bars US persons, along with Ontario and sanctioned territories. How Axiom's perps tab handles a US user is unverified: we found nothing in Axiom's docs or changelog either way. If you are in the United States, read our Axiom Trade UK page and the Axiom perps guide before assuming anything.
Why does a non-custodial terminal have no KYC?
Because it never takes custody of your money. KYC rules in most countries attach to businesses that hold customer funds or exchange fiat for crypto. Axiom does neither in its own name: your wallet keys sit with Turnkey under your control, trades settle on public blockchains, and the only fiat path is handed off to Coinbase.
Axiom's Terms, issued by Axiom Innovations Inc. under California law, claim no licence and put legal compliance on you. They bar sanctioned persons and jurisdictions and forbid VPN use to get around restrictions. In other words, the absence of KYC is not a promise that anyone may use the platform; it is a design choice that shifts the compliance question onto the user. Our Axiom Trade liability explainer goes through the clauses that matter.
What no KYC does not mean
No KYC is not anonymity. Every trade you make on Axiom is a public transaction on Solana, BNB Chain, Ethereum or whichever chain you use. Anyone with your wallet address can see your balance, your history and the wallets you send to, and that record does not expire. Blockchain analytics firms link addresses to exchanges and to each other as a routine service.
It also does not mean Axiom knows nothing about you. In February 2026 the investigator ZachXBT alleged that a senior business-development employee used Axiom's internal customer-support tools to look up users' wallets by referral code, wallet address or user ID, and shared the results. Those are allegations, not findings, and Axiom said it removed access to the tools. But they show that an account with only an email attached could still be mapped to its wallets from the inside. Privacy, not custody, was the exposed surface. Our Axiom Pro review covers the incident and Axiom's response.
Watch out. Axiom never asks you to "verify your identity" by uploading documents, confirming a seed phrase or paying a fee. A message that does so, whether in a Discord DM, an email or a look-alike site, is phishing. The only official site is axiom.trade, and official support is a ticket in the official Discord.
Axiom Trade taxes: what no KYC changes, and what it does not
Nothing about tax changes because a platform skips KYC. In most countries, selling, swapping or spending crypto is a taxable event, and the obligation sits with you whether or not any platform reported anything. A memecoin swap on Axiom is a disposal of one asset for another in most tax systems, and fees are part of the record you will need.
Axiom issues no documented tax reports, 1099 forms or annual statements. We could not re-read the Terms this month to confirm whether they contain a tax clause, so we do not quote one. The practical step is to keep your own records: the Axiom PnL card shows realized results per token with fees included, and your wallet address can be fed into any crypto tax tool that reads the chains you traded on. Export early; a wallet with thousands of memecoin swaps is painful to reconstruct a year later. Check your local rules, and talk to a tax professional if the amounts are meaningful.
Could Axiom add KYC later?
It could, and the Terms allow changes. Both the Terms and the Privacy Policy were re-dated on February 26, 2026, the same day the staff allegations surfaced, which shows how quickly the paperwork can move. The Privacy Policy already notes that identity verification may apply to data-rights requests sent to support@axiom.trading, so a verification step exists in at least that narrow case.
If a KYC requirement were introduced, the announcement would appear on axiom.trade, in the docs or from the official X account, not in a DM. Until then, the honest summary is: no identity verification is documented for signup, deposits or trading, the Coinbase on-ramp is no-KYC up to $500 a week, and everything beyond that is undocumented.

Questions people ask
Does Axiom Trade require KYC?
Not as far as anything Axiom publishes. The signup docs describe email, Google or Phantom login and a seed phrase shown at signup, with no identity documents. The deposit and perpetuals docs mention no verification either. The one KYC reference is the homepage FAQ, which says the Coinbase fiat on-ramp is no-KYC up to $500 a week. What happens above that is undocumented.
Is there a minimum deposit on Axiom Trade?
No minimum deposit is documented. A crypto deposit is an ordinary on-chain transfer to the wallet address Axiom shows you, and the docs set no floor on it. The only published limit is in the other direction: the Coinbase on-ramp is described as no-KYC up to $500 per week. See the Axiom deposit guide for the steps.
Do Axiom Trade perpetuals require KYC?
Axiom's perpetuals docs mention no KYC and no region check. The markets run on Hyperliquid, whose own docs also mention no KYC, but third-party summaries of its terms say it geofences by IP and bars US persons. How Axiom's perps tab handles a US user is unverified, so do not assume either way.
Do you pay taxes on Axiom Trade?
In most countries, yes. Selling, swapping or spending crypto is usually a taxable event, and skipping KYC does not change that; the obligation sits with you. Axiom issues no documented tax reports, so keep your own records from the Axiom PnL calendar and your wallet address, and check your local rules.
Does Axiom Trade report to tax authorities?
We found no documentation of tax reporting, 1099 forms or annual statements from Axiom, and we could not re-read the Terms this month to confirm whether they contain a tax clause. The absence of a report does not make trades untaxed. Every trade is public on-chain, and your local tax rules apply regardless.
Is no KYC the same as being anonymous on Axiom?
No. Every trade settles on a public blockchain and stays visible forever against your wallet address. Internally, Axiom links your login to your wallets: in February 2026 an employee was alleged to have used support tools to look up users' wallets by referral code, wallet or user ID. Our Axiom Trade reviews covers that incident.
