Trading on Base with Axiom

Short answer

Axiom added Base on 9 September 2026 (v1.75), and you select it as base in the chain selector. That is nearly all the official material says. The fee level, cashback, referral payouts and gas settings on Base are not documented, so read the fee line on a small test trade before you fund the wallet properly.

Axiom Base chain support is one of the newest parts of the platform: the in-app changelog records it on 9 September 2026, in version 1.75. In the app the chain is selected as "base". Beyond that date and that selector entry, Axiom's official material says very little about Base, so this page is as much about what is missing as what is known. It covers what is confirmed, what the docs leave out, how to switch chains, and what to verify before you send money.

Axiom Trade facts here come from its docs, homepage and in-app changelog, checked on 17 September 2026, eight days after Base went live. We earn a referral commission from Axiom.

Does Axiom support Base?

Yes. Base support shipped on 9 September 2026 in version 1.75, according to Axiom's in-app changelog, and "base" appears in the chain selector next to sol, bnb, eth, robinhood, ink, arc and hype.

Base arrived in a busy month: the changelog shows a rebuilt Robinhood Chain integration on 7 September, Base on 9 September and Ink on 14 September. Earlier additions were Axiom Binance Smart Chain and Axiom Ethereum trading. The official FAQ still says Axiom "currently supports Solana"; it is out of date, and the chain selector is the better reference.

What is Base?

Base is an Ethereum layer-2 network that was started by the exchange Coinbase. It runs the same kind of smart contracts as Ethereum, uses the same address format, and charges gas in ETH, usually at a much lower cost per transaction than Ethereum itself.

That is general knowledge about the chain, not something Axiom's docs state. It matters for two reasons: you need ETH on Base to pay gas, and a Base address looks identical to an Ethereum address, which makes wrong-network transfers an easy mistake.

What does Axiom charge on Base?

The fee level on Base is not documented. Axiom's docs publish a single schedule, a 1% fee per trade with SOL cashback that brings the net fee to 0.95% for new accounts and 0.75% at the top tier, and they name Solana, BSC and Ethereum as the chains where cashback applies. Base is not named.

The same gap applies to referrals. The docs list Solana, BSC and Ethereum as the chains where referrers are paid, and describe a 10% fee discount for referred users without saying which chains it covers. Base may well follow the standard schedule, but that is an expectation, not a documented fact.

The reliable number is the one on your own screen: read the fee line before you confirm a trade. The Axiom trading fees breakdown explains the published tiers, and the Axiom Trade invite code page covers the discount. Base gas is a separate cost paid in ETH, and Axiom's docs give no gas figures for it.

What is documented for Axiom on Base, and what is not?

Two things are confirmed: the launch date and the chain selector entry. Fees, rewards, trade settings and routing are all undocumented for Base as of our check. The table sets out the split.

Chain supportLive since 9 September 2026, v1.75 (changelog)
How to select it"base" in the chain selector (live app)
Trading feeNot documented; the published 1% schedule does not mention Base
Cashback and referral payoutsDocs name Solana, BSC and Ethereum only

The confirmed items come from the in-app changelog and chain selector; everything in the lower panel is absent from Axiom's docs.

Third-party pages that quote exact Base fees or name the DEXs Axiom routes through are guessing or describing their own tests, not citing Axiom.

How do you switch Axiom to Base and fund the wallet?

Choose Base in the chain selector, copy the address shown in the Base view, and send ETH to it over the Base network. Axiom's docs do not describe the Base wallet setup, so this is the generic sequence; labels in the app may differ.

  1. Log in at axiom.trade. Type the address or use your own bookmark. Look-alike domains such as auth-axiom.trade have been used for phishing.
  2. Open the chain selector and pick Base. It is the same control that lists sol, bnb and eth. The wallet and trade panels switch to Base data.
  3. Copy the deposit address from the Base view. Do not reuse one copied while another chain was selected.
  4. Send a small test amount of ETH on the Base network. On the sending side, the withdrawal network must be Base, not Ethereum mainnet or another layer 2.
  5. Wait for it to show in Axiom, then make one small trade. Read the fee line and the gas cost.
  6. Send the rest only if the numbers look right. Keep some ETH aside for gas; without it you cannot sell.

Watch out. ETH sent on the wrong network does not arrive on Base, and getting it back can be difficult or impossible. On-chain transfers cannot be reversed, and Axiom states it does not store copies of keys, so support cannot recover funds for you.

The Axiom deposit guide covers funding in general, and the move Axiom wallet to Phantom guide explains how to back up the seed phrase, which Axiom shows at signup and in settings.

Can you trade Base memecoins on Axiom?

Yes: Base tokens are tradable once the app is switched to Base. How well Axiom's discovery tools cover Base memecoins is the open question.

The changelog entry of 14 July 2026 describes Axiom Pulse filters as unified across Solana, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. Base was added two months later and is not part of that statement. The docs describe Pulse's columns (New Pairs, Final Stretch, Migrated) in terms of Solana launchpads, so with Base selected, look at what each column actually shows before you rely on it.

The same caution applies to order tools. The migration sniper is documented for pump.fun tokens moving to Raydium, a Solana flow, and limit orders are documented with no Base detail. Try any feature you depend on with a small amount first.

What are the risks of trading on Base through Axiom?

You carry the usual memecoin and account risks plus the risk of a brand-new, undocumented integration. Most memecoins on any chain end up worthless, and no filter changes that.

  • Newness. The Base integration was eight days old when we checked it. Axiom rebuilt its Robinhood Chain integration less than two months after launching it, which shows how much early versions can change.
  • Unknown costs. With no published Base fee or gas guidance, you learn the cost by trading.
  • Wrong-network transfers. Identical address formats across Ethereum-style chains make this the most likely way to lose a deposit.
  • Account security. Reported Axiom losses trace to phishing domains, a fake mobile app and malicious browser extensions that stole logged-in sessions. The Axiom wallet security checklist lists the defenses.
  • Limited recourse. Axiom's Terms cap its liability at $100, no public security audit report was found, and support is handled only through Discord tickets.

Treat the first session as a test: small deposit, one small buy, one small sell, and a look at what each step cost.

Questions people ask

Does Axiom support Base?

Yes. Axiom's in-app changelog records Base support on 9 September 2026 in version 1.75, and base is one of the options in the app's chain selector alongside sol, bnb, eth, robinhood, ink, arc and hype. The official FAQ page still says Axiom supports only Solana, but that page is outdated.

What are Axiom's fees on Base?

They are not documented. Axiom's docs publish one schedule, a 1% fee with SOL cashback tiers, and name Solana, BSC and Ethereum as the chains where cashback applies. Base is not on that list, so nobody outside Axiom can state the Base fee with certainty. Read the fee shown on the trade confirmation, and test with a small trade first. Base network gas is charged on top.

How do I switch Axiom to Base?

Log in at axiom.trade, open the chain selector and choose Base. The wallet panel and trade panel then show Base data. Copy your deposit address from that Base view, not from another chain's view, and keep some ETH in the wallet because Base transactions pay gas in ETH.

Can you trade Base memecoins on Axiom?

Base tokens can be traded once the app is switched to Base, since the chain has been supported since 9 September 2026. What is not documented is how far the discovery tools reach: the changelog describes Pulse as unified across Solana, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain, and does not mention Base. Check what Pulse and Discover actually list with Base selected.

Does Axiom cashback apply to Base trades?

The docs do not say. Axiom's fee and referral pages name Solana, BSC and Ethereum as the chains where cashback and referral payouts apply. Base was added after those pages were written and is not mentioned. Treat cashback on Base as unconfirmed until the docs are updated or you see it credited on your own trades.

Is Axiom on Base safe to use?

It carries the same account risks as Axiom on any chain, plus the uncertainty of a new integration with no documentation. Axiom is non-custodial and cannot recover lost keys, its Terms cap liability at $100, and no public audit report was found. Log in only at axiom.trade, back up your seed phrase and start with an amount you can afford to lose.
