How to export and back up your Axiom wallet
Short answer
To export an Axiom wallet, open your settings on axiom.trade and reveal the seed phrase, which Axiom's docs say is shown at signup and accessible at any time in settings. Write it down offline, then import it into Phantom, Rabby or Solflare. The exact menu path comes from third-party guides only. Axiom stores no copy of your keys, so it cannot recover a lost phrase.
When you sign up, Axiom Trade creates a wallet for you, and the only thing that proves it is yours is its seed phrase. To export an Axiom wallet means to take that phrase out of the platform so you hold a backup and can open the same wallet in another app. This guide covers where the phrase is, how to store it, how to import it into Phantom, Rabby or Solflare, and what to do if it may have leaked.
Can you export your Axiom wallet?
Yes. Axiom's signup documentation says the seed phrase is shown when the wallet is created and is accessible at any time in your settings. The same page recommends importing it into Phantom, Rabby or Solflare.
This works because Axiom is non-custodial. The homepage describes the wallet as "fully non-custodial, secured by Turnkey", and the Terms say Axiom "does not store copies of Keys and does not custody your tokens". Any wallet app that holds the phrase can sign for the wallet.
Exporting is not the same as withdrawing. An export copies your access; the coins stay at the same address. If you want to send funds to a different address, see the guide to how to deposit and withdraw on Axiom.
Where is the Axiom seed phrase in settings?
Officially, it is "in your settings", and that is all the docs say. Third-party guides describe the path as Settings, then Account and Security, then Manage Wallets, then a key icon beside the wallet. We could not confirm that path in Axiom's own documentation, and menus move between releases.
If it does not match what you see, look through the account, security and wallet sections for an export or reveal option. Our Axiom slippage explains the rest of that area. Before you reveal anything, read the address bar and confirm it says axiom.trade. Look-alike domains such as auth-axiom.trade have been reported as phishing sites, and a fake page that "shows" your phrase will ask you to type it in first.
Seed phrase or private key: which one does Axiom give you?
Axiom's docs speak of a seed phrase. In general crypto terms, a seed phrase is a list of words from which a wallet app derives one or more private keys, while a private key is a single long string that controls one address. Both give full control of the funds.
Whether Axiom also offers a separate Axiom private key export per wallet is not documented. The key icon in third-party guides suggests a per-wallet export exists, but only your own settings screen can confirm what it shows. Axiom allows up to 25 active wallets per account, and the docs do not say whether they share one phrase or each has its own. If you use Axiom multi wallet, check and back up each one separately.
How to export and back up an Axiom wallet, step by step
- Open settings on the official site. Log in at axiom.trade from a bookmark you made yourself, on your own device. Do it in private, without screen sharing or a recording running.
- Reveal the phrase. Find the wallet export option in settings and display the seed phrase for the wallet you want to back up.
- Write it down offline. Copy the words on paper in order, check the spelling, and store the paper where other people cannot reach it.
- Import it into a wallet app. In Phantom, Rabby or Solflare, choose the option to import an existing wallet and enter the words inside that app.
- Check the address. Compare the address in the new app with the one shown in Axiom. A match proves the Axiom wallet backup works.
Watch out. The only two places a seed phrase belongs are paper and the import screen of a wallet app you installed yourself from its official source. Never enter it on a website, in a form, a bot, an email or a support chat. Screenshots, cloud notes and messages to yourself count as online copies.
How do you move an Axiom wallet to Phantom, Rabby or Solflare?
You import the seed phrase into the other app; nothing is sent on-chain. After the import, Axiom and the external wallet both control the same address, and no fee is due because no transaction takes place.
Pick the app by chain. Phantom and Solflare are widely used Solana wallets, and Rabby is a wallet for Ethereum-style chains. Axiom's docs list all three without explaining which Axiom wallet maps to which app, and Axiom now trades on Solana, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Base and other networks. That is why step five matters. If the imported address differs from your Axiom address, the app may be deriving a different account from the same words. Check the wallet app's account options before you send funds to the new address.
Having the wallet in a second app is also your exit route. If axiom.trade is unreachable or you lose your login, you can still move funds from the external wallet. The Axiom Trade support page explains how to check whether the platform is down.
Why can't Axiom recover a lost seed phrase?
Axiom does not have it. Under the Terms, Axiom keeps no copies of keys, so support has nothing to look up or reset.
In practice there are two doors to the wallet. One is your Axiom login (email code, Google or Phantom), which lets you trade and, per the docs, view the phrase in settings. The other is the phrase itself. Lose one and the other still works. Lose both and the funds stay on-chain with no way to reach them. Making the backup on the day you sign up, before you deposit, removes that risk. The Axiom Trade login covers the first door.
What should you do after a suspected seed phrase leak?
Move your funds to a fresh wallet at once. A seed phrase cannot be changed or revoked, so a wallet whose phrase was seen by someone else is never safe again. Changing your email password does not help, because the thief does not need your account.
- Create a new wallet. Use a wallet whose phrase has never been typed, photographed or stored online, and write the new phrase on paper.
- Send everything of value to the new address. Start with the largest balances. Copy the address carefully and check the first and last characters.
- Retire the old wallet. Do not deposit to it again, even if it looks untouched.
- Find the cause. Common routes are phishing pages, fake "Axiom" mobile apps, and browser extensions. Socket reported in September 2026 that malicious extensions had stolen authenticated Axiom session data.
Expect impostors afterwards. Axiom's official support runs only through Discord tickets, and staff never message you first. Anyone offering to "recover" or "validate" a wallet in exchange for the phrase is running a second scam. The Axiom account security checklist lists the habits that prevent a repeat.
Where should you keep the backup?
Keep it offline and out of sight. Paper in a locked place is the common baseline. This is general wallet practice, not Axiom guidance: no internet-connected device should hold a readable copy.
- Do not photograph the phrase or save it in a notes app, email draft or cloud drive.
- Test the backup once by importing it, as in step four, so you know the words are right.
- Tell nobody the words. No wallet provider, exchange or Axiom staff member needs them.

Questions people ask
How do you export your Axiom wallet?
Log in on axiom.trade, open your settings and reveal the seed phrase. Axiom's docs say it is shown at signup and accessible at any time in settings. Third-party guides give the path as Settings, Account and Security, Manage Wallets, then the key icon, but the official docs do not confirm that path. Write the phrase down offline and import it into a wallet app such as Phantom, Rabby or Solflare.
Where is the Axiom seed phrase?
The Axiom seed phrase is shown once during signup and, according to the docs, stays accessible in your settings afterwards. The docs do not name the exact menu. If you cannot find it, look in the account, security or wallet sections of settings, and ask through an official Discord ticket which menu holds it. Support never needs the phrase itself.
Can you get an Axiom private key and not a seed phrase?
Axiom's docs describe a seed phrase. A separate private-key export for a single wallet is not documented, although third-party guides mention a key icon next to each wallet. Check what the export screen in your own account shows. Treat either one the same way: whoever holds it controls the funds.
How do you move an Axiom wallet to Phantom?
Install Phantom from its official source, choose its option to import an existing wallet, and enter the seed phrase you exported from Axiom inside the Phantom app itself. Then compare the address Phantom shows with the address in Axiom. If they match, both apps now control the same wallet. Nothing moves on-chain and there is no fee for importing.
Can Axiom recover a lost seed phrase?
No. Axiom's Terms say it does not store copies of keys and does not custody your tokens, so there is nothing for support to look up. While you can still log in, the docs say the phrase is accessible in settings. If you lose both the login and the phrase, the funds cannot be reached.
What should you do if your Axiom seed phrase leaks?
Assume the wallet is compromised for good, because a seed phrase cannot be changed. Create a fresh wallet whose phrase has never been exposed, send your funds to its address straight away, and stop using the old one. Then find the cause, such as a phishing site or a browser extension, before you trade again.
